We are excited that you are visiting our web site. Western Whales offers programs for a variety of ages and skill levels, from our non-competitive and Novice programs to our competitive program. New swimmers may choose not to compete until parents, coach and swimmers feel the individual is ready and willing to do so. We have a low swimmer/coach ratio. Western Whales train at the Arts and Culture Center Pool, and at the Sir Wilfred Grenfell College Pool. We have a full-time Head Coach and 2 full-time Novice coaches.

If you think you are beaten, you are. If you think you dare not, you don't. If you like to win, but you think you can't, it is almost certain you won't. If you think you'll lose, your lost. For out of the world we find Success begins with a person's will; It's all in the state of mind. If you think you're outclassed, you are. You've got to think high to rise. You've got to be sure of yourself before you can ever win a prize. Life's battles don't always go to the strongest in the land. But sooner or later the person who wins is the person who thinks they can.
We are so excited about the upcoming year 2002-2003 - We had a great year last year - which we consider our new beginning year. This year we are ready to shine. We have some exciting programs in place with our coaches Adam, Janice and Howie and our strength trainer Kevin... You guys are just super - we love you all lots. Looking forward to our best year ever!!!
